FEV Shows Testing Solutions for the Mobility of the Future

FEV at Testing Expo 2019

FEV at the Automotive Testing Expo in Stuttgart, Germany

Aachen/Stuttgart, May 2019 – The world's leading trade fair for automotive testing, evaluation and quality engineering, the Automotive Testing Expo 2019, is currently taking place in Stuttgart, Germany. FEV Software and Testing Solutions will present the “Test Center for Future Mobility” with test bench solutions and software products in live-operation, which serve to increase the efficiency of test centers for future mobility. FEV’s Collaborative Framework plays a central role here. FEV's various tools for planning, controlling and monitoring the test benches and evaluating the extensive measurement data run via this uniform development platform.

“The complexity of development tasks is constantly increasing with new vehicle concepts and electrified drive components,” explains Professor Stefan Pischinger, President and CEO of the FEV Group. “We offer our customers integrated, complete solutions for validation with simultaneous process optimization.”

Collaborative Framework
Thanks to its interdisciplinary approach, FEV's model-based collaborative framework replaces complex methods with different techniques and tools. The various vehicle and engine components can thus be represented, and their interactions simulated. Interfaces, tests and models run through the same process in the Collaborative Framework from design to validation on the road. This significantly reduces development times and costs. The Collaborative Network is therefore a very important tool for testing increasingly complex mobility concepts.

Ideal Testing
The use of knowledge will continue to be a significant competitive advantage in the future. A test center can only be operated cost-efficiently through targeted planning of the available resources. In the sense of Test Field Management 4.0, the networking of information and employees is of decisive strategic importance. FEVFLEX, used as a central data and information management software, makes a significant contribution by networking employees, and providing and archiving information, as well as operating data.

MORPHEE also enables the automation of test procedures in real time. The SW tool chain is completed by FEV with Uniplot, an effective instrument for evaluating the determined data.
