Dr. Dirk Bergmann takes responsibility for FEV’s Commercial Engines Business Unit in Europe

As of 1st July 2016, Dr. Dirk Bergmann becomes the head of the European Business Unit Commercial Engines at FEV GmbH (Source: FEV GmbH).

Effective 1st July 2016, Dr. Dirk Bergmann has taken on responsibility for FEV‘s commercial engines business unit in Europe. Bergmann joins FEV from a position at Fiat Powertrain Engine Research AG, where he has acted as the sole managing director at the Arbon development site (Switzerland) since 2012.

Since 2014, the European business of the commercial engines business unit at FEV GmbH has been temporarily lead by Group Vice President Dr. Peter Heuser, who will remain globally responsible for the commercial engines business.

Dr. Bergmann has proven expertise in commercial vehicle and industrial engines with additional qualifications in production methods: among other positions, he worked as a specialist for new industrial diesel engine technologies at MTU in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Subsequently, he was named head of advanced technology development at MTU. He also built a new group-wide function for coordinating the association and committee work at Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG (formerly Tognum AG).
